How the score works

  1. 01Open source data. Common Crawl publishes a web-scale link graph with every crawl release, free for anyone to verify.
  2. 02Two graph signals.A domain’s harmonic-centrality and PageRank ranks in that graph combine into a single 0 to 100 score.
  3. 03Honest gaps. Domains without enough link-graph data show no number. We never estimate a rating.

The full method, formula included, is on the methodology page.

Not DR. Not DA.

OAR is not Ahrefs Domain Rating and not Moz Domain Authority, and it isn’t comparable to them. Those are proprietary scores over private link indexes; OAR is computed from public data with a published method.
